It shows us Reacher helping in an investigation of two Georgia-based police officers, while trying to solve his brother’s murder at the same time. These events seem to coincide for a minute, so Reacher ends up knee-deep in conspiracies. Sure, the final result is rough around the edges, slightly imperfect, and occasionally leaning into small-town clichés, but it reestablishes the franchise with real weight.
