A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .

How expensive are they?

When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard price is over $500.

You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.

Do they fit as expected?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

Are they comfortable?

They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..

How durable are they?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How do they compare to other sneakers?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Next-level.

Would you recommend them?

Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also be smart.
